Version 3.17 is now
available (Feburary 1998)

Standard shifts are defined by linking the work times, meal break, skill and job to 48 one or two letter codes. The employee is assigned to a shift by typing the code of the shift to be worked that day in the appropriate column. This is shown on screen with different shifts identified using a colour coded display. Employees may also be colour coded.
As the user moves from day to day, using the arrow keys, the details of the shift appear on the right side of the screen. The shift can be modified at any time by pressing the Enter key and once an ad hoc entry has been created it can be pasted to other entries.
The user is able to print the roster indicating which of the detailed shift information is required, as well as other print specifications including the printer type, orientation, font, duration and page.
The user also has access to a template which holds shift rotations of up to 8 weeks. When the working conditions are regular the standard shifts are entered into the template and then duplicated into the period that is being rostered.
Various productivity tools are included to assist assigning employees of different skills to jobs.
The Builder allows viewing,
editing and printing of all staff assigned to a job as a group.
The Outliner allows
specification of the sort order for indexing, viewing editing and printing of all
employees assigned to the key field.
The Auditor allows locking
of the roster and onward from that point, viewing and printing only of the amendments. An
audit trail of amendments is also maintained.
The Analyser enables the
viewing, filtering and editing of all shifts for a employee over a complete year. The user
can define filtering rules to obtain totals of days off, days assigned to a job or days on
late shift.
